The global war on Judaeo-Christians is reaching a new pitch. In the United States, Barack Obama and his Administration's minions have ordered Catholics and Catholic hospitals to distribute condoms and perform abortions, something completely antithetical to their beliefs and faith. Never in U.S. history has anything like this happened. It's profoundly un-Constitutional and un-American. Until now, individual freedom of lawful religion and religious practice have been sacrosanct and inviolable in America.
But all over the globe, governments are trying - if they haven't already succeeded - to subvert and replace God in our lives. There is no greater crime. This is almost pure evil. All the murderous tyrants who ever lived were attempting to replace God. They all failed and took countless millions to Hell with them. Human beings are easily deluded into believing they have much more power and control than they really have. Flattery and power are enormously intoxicating, and few can resist it. Religious leaders are particularly susceptible, and this process - the subversion and distortion of the faithful - couldn't happen without complicity and betrayal on the part of these religious leaders.
Jesus said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all." - Matthew 9:35. We find that almost impossible to accept. Nobody today seeks or wants their children to seek servitude. This is without doubt the hardest task God asks us to do. It runs counter to our nature. But if we embrace it we inoculate ourselves against hubris, the desire to be God on earth.
Power and wealth are tremendously attractive, and we think they're beautiful. Bill Gates, Michael Bloomberg, Donald Trump, and Queen Elizabeth are enormously rich, admired and loved for their success and money. But we deceive ourselves if we think beauty is always good and ugly things are always evil. The ancient Greeks who worshiped beauty were wrong; at least in part. Many poisonous plants and snakes are colorful and alluring. And the black mold that floated through the laboratory window of Alexander Fleming was processed into penicillin, the chemical savior of millions.

Evil masquerades as gentle and good. The Apostle Paul said, "And no wonder, Satan disguises himself as an angel of light." - Second Corinthians 11:14. Life would be unchallenging if we could easily recognize good and evil. This is a large part of the meaning of our lives, learning to tell the difference.
In the human realm, ruthless murderers sometimes look like the sweet kid next door. Josh Powell certainly did, and when his wife mysteriously disappeared three years ago nobody in the community wanted to believe he was involved. The couple had two sweet boys. How could any father take away their mother? Could such monstrous evil exist? Now we have the answer, and it's terrible. He burned them and himself alive last Sunday:
From the Associated Press, GRAHAM, Washington. – Josh Powell's note was simple and short, a farewell to the world after two years of being scrutinized in the media, hammered by police and questioned by judges, prosecutors and social workers, living his life under a microscope since the day his wife vanished.
Just minutes before, authorities say, he set fire to his home, killing himself and his two young sons days after he was denied custody and ordered to undergo a psycho-sexual evaluation. Powell sent an email to his attorney.
"I'm sorry, goodbye," he wrote.
The Sunday blaze at Powell's home brought yet another twist in the very public scandal that began when Susan Powell vanished in 2009. The case had since spiraled into a salacious saga of finger-pointing and accusations of sex and lies -- and now the unthinkable loss of two young lives caught in the crossfire.
A social worker brought the two boys to Josh Powell's home Sunday for what was to be a supervised visit, and Powell let his sons inside -- but then blocked the social worker from entering. The house was filled with gas. A moment later it exploded, the Graham Fire Chief Gary Franz told Associated Press.
