The Glory Is Coming

What is glory?  We know it exists, but it's very rare in our human experience. When a miraculous and unexpected victory is achieved, elevating us suddenly from the pit of our fears and despair to the heights of success, we call that glorious. Sports often gives us that joyful experience; when a beloved team suddenly does the impossible by winning a championship, for instance.

How much greater then - exponentially greater - is the resurrection from death to eternal life in paradise? There's no deeper pit than death, and no greater height than eternal life in joy; and that is God's promise to us. Only God can do this, and it makes jealous mankind crazy. They fight back by creating counterfeit glory, and counterfeit gods.

How very sad – except for people of faith – is the timing of the ObaMessiah. Just at the moment in history when Statism/socialism is dying from bankruptcy, he came to turn America into a Euro-client state. With no regard for our history, and against all our founding principles, Obama and his minions press on diabolically. Expanding government exponentially with "free" ObamaCare blows a hole in the federal budget that we'll never be able to fill honestly, and opens the floodgates for many more entitlements.

How can we stop at medical care? Why not HousingCare, FoodCare, JobCare, and TransportationCare? All of them are important for our health, according to 'progressives'. It's very important that we care for everybody, since they aren't capable of taking care of themselves, apparently. This is the Devil's bargain: We'll take care of you, and you'll do as we say. This is a good plan for raising children, but a terrible one for adults to live under. Just ask anyone in the former Soviet Union or Red China. Every freedom you give up for security will be lost for life, and soon you'll discover the security promise is bogus as well. But by then you are a slave to the State.

Just as with Mosaic Law, the Law of the Accountant’s Ledger is nearly absolute, and catches us in its  inescapable arithmetic. When too many people are consumers of wealth, not producers, bankruptcy looms. As Margaret Thatcher famously said,"The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people's money." So, here we are.

We should be grateful. Obama awakened us from the sleep that almost consumed us. It’s not easy to be grateful, though, surrounded as we are by so much wreckage. But we must try – for God’s sake and our own. God's glory always appears when the works of mankind utterly fail, as they are failing today all over the world. God's glory is eternal life and joy, which no human scheme can ever compete with. This makes God's enemies, the trolls, extremely angry.

The trolls are attacking everyone who isn't enthusiastic about the New Regime in Washington D.C. Who are the trolls? They are the furious shaming critics who need to hate and envy others, and are never content with their lot in life. There's always another problem they want to be fixed by huge government; one more aggrieved group of "victims"; another bottomless pit we must dump money into. They find problems half-way around the world for us to fix. There's never an end to the trolls' demands, and these demands must be seen for what they are: projections of the trolls' own problems. Instead of fixing themselves, they want to fix the world.

Projection, rage, and fear over dying Utopian dreams is certainly part of the troll’s syndrome. If you ask them what they're grateful for, they won't be able to say much, if anything. The so-called 'progressives'  of the Democrat Party epitomize the type, but socialists, Marxists, and some Republicans display this behavior also.

What hope can the trolls have? They believe in nothing beyond the material world. Politics and a narrow view of science are the only tools they have to understand the world. And your money, of course, seized by taxation. They've spent trillions of dollars in America - over the last fifty years - and have nothing to show for it. Like the Soviet Union, their one-time Utopia, it has all failed.

Naturally they're beside themselves. Without God; without a standard for all things beyond mankind's low standard, how can anyone remain sane in times like these? I know I couldn’t.

Watch for the coming Glory. We have Christ, the genuine Messiah, who fulfills and exceeds Mosaic Law; freeing us from the Accountant’s Ledger of death and chaos. We’ve tried to free the trolls, but they will not take our hand. It's time to let them go their way, and we will go ours.

Apocalypse, Armageddon, and the Coming Glory of God

The word Apocalypse is a Greek word meaning a parting of the veil. It means revelation, revealing of truth. Why are people afraid? Because they lie too often, and hide behind fig leaves of rationalization to cover shame. Some deception is an unavoidable part of our lives and absolute honesty isn't possible or desirable. It's not the social white lies that are the problem, but the ones we condemn in others. Not all of us feel anxious, of course. If you're not afraid of Apocalypse it's because you're a truthful person of goodwill. So you can see it's a litmus test, just like the ones doctors give to see if we're suffering from disease.

Armageddon is scarier, I grant you. The word means the mountains above Megiddo and is derived from a real town in Israel, Megiddo, an ancient and modern.place popular with tourists today. It's a metaphorical land of showdowns. In ancient times decisive battles were fought there. For us today it means the final battle between God and Satan, the spirit forces of eternal life and joy vs. the worldly opposite. Our victory is not in question.

We should be celebrating! Just as we would if an old, ugly, rotting, and disgraced house were being             demolished to be replaced with an entirely new and more desirable one. Our world is being transformed before our eyes. It's becoming clearer every day that the nations and peoples we've known are utterly bankrupt; physically, morally, and spiritually. Granted, it's not a pretty sight. Mass delusion and psychosis are abroad in the land. Both Charlie Sheen's and Muhammar Gaddafi's delusional rantings are emblematic of the process.

The evidence is clear to many scholars that the terrible process of demolition has been going on for almost 100 years. World War I began in 1914, and the massive death, destruction, and pure evil we saw in the 20th century clearly started then. Orderly and benign governments were destroyed wholesale. Famine, plague, social chaos, Soviet communism, totalitarian oppression by technology, Nazism, Fascism, holocausts, and inchoate fear of every sort have their roots in that era. It didn't end with the Versailles peace treaty in 1918, but went dormant; gearing up for a worse conflict in the late 1930's. By 1945, half the world lay in ruins and the atomic bomb was the newest instrument of terror. The psychological damage to all of us was even worse.

This was Armageddon as described in Revelation, the last book of the Bible. The events seen by its author, John of Patmos, two-thousand years ago were a warning to all humanity; but nowhere does the Bible say that we living would see what he saw. We experience the effects of the events he saw. Jesus says the Day of Judgement will come upon us quickly, like a "thief in the night". We won't see it coming. On the contrary, people will be taken largely unawares. But not people of faith. We will be as the virgins "whose lamps were shining when the bridegroom arrived".

The truth will set us free. But first it will hurt like hell. The Ruling Classes today are in pride and prosperity withdrawal, like an addict going cold turkey. Few things are more miserable. The term Ruling Classes includes all people who are comfortable with things as they are, and who are trying to maintain the status quo. Money, power, and fear are the gods they worship.

Mankind is staring now at a huge and looming dead end. The Pit.  Every form of government but one has been tried and tried again; failure upon failure. Tribal rule fails, monarchies fail, dictatorships of every kind collapse when dictators die, Marxism is a spectacular fraud and deadly disaster.

One form of government has worked relatively well for much of its tenure but has become corrupted, largely because of its successes: representative democracy based on Judeo-Christian values and precepts.. It takes two forms, the American-style republic and parliamentary democracy. The essential weakness of these is they require an educated and moral people for their support. One thing they do better than all other forms of government - if allowed to function as designed - and that is self-reformation.

This self-reforming function has collapsed and corruption is rampant. Mankind largely lost its faith in God over a hundred years ago, as technology succeeded. We began worshipping pure reason, technology, and science. The planet groans in agony as the future looks darker, bleaker, and more poisonous.

But there's good news. This collapse has been seen and planned for from the foundation of the world. The Scriptures of all great religions predict these events and the outcome of it all.

The angel said, "All the works of godless people must come to wrack and ruin." Faithful people of goodwill and honest words and deeds owe it to themselves to be fearless and joyful. What's coming is the greatest day in human history. A new heaven and a new earth.

A New Challenge for America

News report: 'With energy prices rising in part because of turmoil in the Middle East, lawmakers from both parties are questioning the Obama administration's energy policies and arguing that more should be done to develop domestic sources of energy.

"I don't think the president's position on oil and gas is as strong as it should be,” said Democratic Sen. Mary Landeieu of Louisiana, where the oil industry plays a large role in the local economy. “Oil and gas is an important industry in the United States today and it will be in the next decades.”

Many in the administration emphasize alternative forms of energy and some, including the president, have openly talked of the need for higher prices on oil and coal to make alternatives such as wind and solar more price-competitive. - Fox News report, March 6

This is a fact: America's economy cannot grow - or even survive for long - with high energy prices. Most economists agree oil must be $50 a barrel or less. The price now is more than double that. It's insane and fatal that we're allowing OPEC and other foreign nations to manipulate our energy prices. Most of these nations are Islamist, and don't want us to survive. We are, "the great Satan", they say. We have huge reserves of oil and gas in America that can be tapped now because of new technology; enough to last thousands of years, even at present levels of demand growth.

It occurs to me that this matter of our oil resources is yet another example of how Providence has graced this Nation. As has been evidenced so often in our short history, there seems to be a beneficent hand that has provided every manner of blessings upon us, and those apparent blessings have been revealed and demonstrated at moments of great need.These blessings are ours to make the best of, yet they seem to be given us with the necessity of our own efforts to be brought to bear in their use.

The winning of our independence from tyranny against incalculable odds, the offering of a huge and rich frontier, the ferocious struggle to free the oppressed held in slavery, and to preserve a Union of freedom and liberty, and the strength and resources to liberate the world from tyranny and wholesale murder prove that we are - at heart - an idealistic people.

All of these things were made possible by Providence with the application of our best efforts, strength of character, and judicious use of will and all of our might. Now we are presented with this opportunity to free ourselves and others of the world from the tyranny of being held hostage to our energy needs by those who despise us and our liberty. I believe it is no accident that these same Islamic oppressors are the very same who seek to destroy the Chosen People, our friends and fellows, the Israelis.

Providence provides us yet another opportunity to fairly utilize it's gifts, and it is up to us to use it to the advantage of the best for humanity. As I think of it in this way, it occurs to me that the forces that prevent our receiving this gift of natural resources are forces of oppression and destruction. They call themselves environmentalists, as though they are anointed to know ever so much more than the rest of us.

 I have long thought of the Left, and it's manifestation of anti-human environmentalism, as the enemy - in more ways than just the philosophical. Now I see that they intend to dominate, and if possible, destroy the nations of liberty by their twisted and belligerent beliefs and tactics. They deprive us of these blessings in order to insure for themselves an increased influence of their political power by making the strong weak and dependant. Little does it matter to them that the strength that has sustained our freedom has provided them and a huge portion of this world with greater freedom and prosperity than has ever been seen in human history.

It really does appear,  in view of this, they do the Devil's work in tearing down this progress. The fight now will be against their intentions to return this nation, and therefore, this world, into impoverished and mean barbarism.
